Mark is from South Shields. After attending Harton Comprehensive School and South Tyneside College, Mark studied Law at the University of Liverpool gaining a 2:1 (Hons) LLB.

He studied the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York

Mark joined Thompson & Co. in 1997. He has a wide range of experience acting for clients in personal injury claims from low values up to £1 million.

He frequently represents clients who suffer asbestos related illnesses or whose relatives have died of asbestos related illnesses. This includes Mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis and pleural thickening.
